Basic Income Today is a new UBI website that's been created to provide updated news and information about Unconditional Basic Income with the goal of furthering the discussion about how UBI impacts purpose, identity, and dignity. Content will be curated from general news and will also include some original content.

I am the Editor-in-Chief of this new UBI news site.

Editorially, under my direction, Basic Income Today will focus on seven broad themes:

1. Workforce Automation: How technology and AI built to accelerate economies can displace human workers and how individuals and economies cope and evolve.

2. Social Justice: Centered around the relationship between UBI and those affected by the results of conditional safety nets and workforce automation mitigating a new vision for society to re-imagine the social contract for the 21st century.

3. Income Inequality: Today, many people must work several jobs they do not enjoy, just to keep a roof over their heads. The ramifications of wealth distributed so unevenly will be covered, and its effect on those not sure that they will be able to meet their families' basic needs.

4. The Basics of UBI: BIT’s content is designed to demystify the noise and false information surrounding the idea of UBI, bringing readers a clearer picture.

5. Success Stories: Evaluating the results where UBI is instituted and how people, paid and unpaid work, business, and the economy benefits.

6. The Social Debate: There is certainly no lack of opinions on this subject. A balanced view of the arguments will be presented, pro and con.

7. Pilots & Experiments: Who’s adopting UBI, where it’s happening and how it’s progressing.

These are the focuses of BIT. The ultimate goal is to properly inform the UBI discussion, reduce misinformation, and get what people most need to read/watch/hear to their eyes/ears.
